What a wonderful site! I'm new to ancient worlds and would most definately enjoy the company of fellow rome lovers. In reality I don't know a whole lot history buffs and my old college instructors have grown weary of my phone calls, so hopefully, I'll fit in here.
I chose my family name due to my fondness for the legend of The City's founding. And Atia I chose in honor of my favorite historical period; the Julian-Claudian dynasty(apparently "Livia" is a very popular name) not to mention Polly Walker's fantastic performance in the HBO series. Great show, by the way, and I've been mourning and suffering withdrawls since last march... I also enjoy the Shakespearian works on rome and I, Claudias (the book and mini-series) all of which I read and re-read constantly. I'm not too found of modern novels on the romans but I'm always hungry for new reads and open to any suggestions. Thanks for reading, I hope to be aquainted with some of you soon.
