The reason this pad is so tiny is that it's not really even an apartment - its actually the pergula (mezzanine floor) I 'rent' from Q. Valerius Felix in his Insula Arriana Polliana apartment. But at least it's a place to call my own and somewhere to retire to for a decent sulk when things don't go according to plan. Which for an ex-runaway Greek slave, now reluctant freedman, they never do.
