It was the rich farmlands which made Aegae the original capitol of Macedon.The land was fertile and well watered throughout the year. It produced and still produces an abundance of agricultural products and has much space suitable for grazing.It is a quiet place with a temperate climate far away from the bustle of the big cities yet close enough to the markets to make traveling easy.

Here the living is slow paced and timed to the rhythms of nature. The people of the area are to this day, known for their hospitality and friendliness.
