Position is currently vacant
(Thor's Hall)
In old Norse, Þrúðvangar.
The name of Thor's Hall means Plain (or Field) of Strength, and was mentioned by Snorri Sturluson in his Prose Edda as well as in his Ynglinga saga.
Thor (old Norse: Þórr)is the Germanic and Norse god of thunder. He has red hair and beard, unlike the popular comic rendering of him as a blond. Other names for him are: Donar, Þunor, and Thunaer. He is famous for his hammer, Mjolnir, and even to this day people wear replicas of it as jewelry, in his honor and for protection.
Thor was one of the most widely worshipped gods of the Germanic peoples. Thor is the son of Odin and the giantess Jörd, and is married to Sif, a corn goddess. He had a son with a giantess, Járnsaxa, named Magni and with Sif he had his daughter Thrud. He also has a son named Modi, but there is no mention of Modi's mother. Ullr is his stepson, from Sif.
