Samhain
Actually, since the Kelts used a 28 day Lunar calendar, with an extra month to even things out, and, since the Keltic day started at the beginning of night, you should of started Last night. Just being picky. But since Samhain started 3 days before, and ended 3 days after,I guess it's all right. And to make it really authentic, you should use actual, real,Human skulls, with a candle inside. Now,where did I put all those heads I took from my enemies?

We actually started this off at midnight on the 30th. If we really wanted to be picky about the whole thing we would have to wait until the 9th of November which is when the next full moon will be.
    ~ Vortigern Aedui
Vort is correct

Most scholars agree that the Coligny calendar describes a lunar calendar where each month has a light half and a dark half; since the light half comes first, then the month starts on the fullmoon, and the new moon is called 'coming of night'. The lunar calandar was balanced out to the solar year by adding a thirteenth month every five years.

The feast of Samhain (summers end) is marked in the calendar as 'today is the threenight of summerend' trinox(tion) samo[ni] sindiu so the three days of festivities here have a historical basis.
