Making my way to Montsalvant.

I lost my parents at an early age.
Ever since then I had made my way to nowhere really making a name for myself as a knight and great man of arms.
When I first came to Montsalvant I met a woman that would turn out to be my Queen and later my mother, Desdemona Eurimedon.
She is the great grand-daughter of Antipatros, the regent of Macedon during Alexander's years in Asia and at the time of his death.
She took kindly to me and offered to present me to court as her adoptive son, Being alone in the world I found a comfort in her I had not felt since the death of my parents.
A great man, Ælfwine Scylding, son of Ælfred, would offer to take me in and rase me in the last few years of my boyhood.
He proved to be a great man and a master at arms, even if he would never admit it himself.
He is a Saxon with a quarter of Breton blood and a Pelagian outlook on life.
He was born in Cantium in Britannia, but his family name refers to a distant kinship with the royal family of Denmark.
So now I live here in Montsalvant, alongside my new parents, making a home and a new life that seems to be full of surprises. |
