Commission Work Posted at 11:00 EST
Well I haven't updated in a while and thought I would let you all know what is going on. Currently I am doing a commission job for a UK historian involving a 3D reconstruction of Hadrians Wall, Pons Aelius at NewCastle. The Pons Aelius is a bridge and fort located in Newcastle England. It's a bridge that crossed the River Tyne along with a Roman fort built next to Hadrian's Wall. It is nearly finished and will be available on my website and on WIKI very soon.

A National Museum (name to be announced later) has asked to use my virtual roman domus as part of their Pompeii exhibit. It will be an educational, interactive exhibit displayed in several countries. I'm very excited about it!

That's all for now, hopefully will be adding some more images soon to include a scene of the Trojan Horse (my first Greek themed image....

Cheers

Some good news -A Roman RPG Posted at 09:00 EST
Looks like I am getting closer to my dream of developing a fun roman rpg game. I met a programmer who can code my game design and he seems pretty good. I was going to do the programming myself but I am already creating the graphics and storyline. I feel that I am getting closer!! It's exciting! I'm still looking for an individual for the purpose of colaborating ideas, brainstroming together on the story. Two heads are better than one. But I realize nobody is interested. So wish me luck!

A Roman City - RPG Posted at 08:00 EST
romanstreet.jpg
I'm in the process and begining stages of creating a fictional roman city rpg game.

The concept is still in progress. I'm creating some conceptual graphics along with a storyboard to help set the scene and game play. The game will allow the user(player) to experience daily life in a Roman town. There will be no wizards, dragons or any of that other nonsense. Although....as in ancient Rome, the Gods may look upon you favorably ...or not. I would like it to be part educational, historically accurate (as close as possible), and most of all fun to play.

I started to write out the storyline, created some conceptual graphics, and put together some rules for playing. It's going to be a while...as I'm doing all this myself ugh! The game would be a free web/text based on-line game, with plenty of graphics.

Places to visit would include the taverna, the baths, and various shops, amphitheatre, and of course the Forum to name a few. Each one of these places may include an adventure,a puzzle or something to progress the player or at the very least entertain them.

What do you think? Am I off my rocker or what? Interested in collaborating? I would be glad to work along side somebody who has some good writing skills and imagination. OR if you have any suggestions or ideas feel free to contact me here or on my site. There are a few screen shots (alongside a Roman Domus virtual tour) here

Roman Domus Project Posted at 10:00 EST
Well I thought I'd give you all an update. I'm about 70% done with my Roman domus reconstruction. Still plenty of work to do and plenty of details to add. I set up a preview if you are interested. And if you have any feed back I'd love to hear it. All you need to do is go to my site, enter and look for the link just below "On the Horizon". Let me know what you think.

Ancient Ambitions Posted at 11:00 EST
Just finished my latest work Temple of Isis. It's a recreation of the temple as it existed in Pompeii. Complete with priests and worshipers. A real fun project but I'm glad I am done.

My latest project is to recreate an entire Roman house (Domus). I finished a rough draft of the atrium pictured on my home page and on my website. It's not finished but I think I am almost there. I need to add another cubiculum before I move on to the tablinum, then onto the peristylium...kitchen dining room, slave quarters so on. I would like to present the entire house as a "walk through" on the website. Each vistor can walk through each room.
