ARGH!! Posted at 21:00 EST
Christmas BEFORE Thanksgiving?! What's up with this? I cannot believe all the decorations are going up and music is playing already all over the place. No wonder I'm sick of Christmas before it even gets here!! Next thing you know, it will all start to come out before Halloween...geez!!!

The Ongoing Suggestion Box Posted at 18:00 EST
It would be so nice to see many of the suggestions being made to improve AW taken to heart and actually implemented in this century. However, I'm not holding my breath...are you?

Breaking the Habit Posted at 23:00 EST
I'll paint it on the walls
'Cause I'm the one at fault
I'll never fight again
And this is how it ends

I don't know what's worth fighting for
Or why I have to scream
But now I have some clarity
to show you what I mean
I don't know how I got this way
I'll never be alright
So, I'm breaking the habit
I'm breaking the habit
I’m breaking the habit

Yet Another Milestone Reached Posted at 22:00 EST
My in-laws have just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. There was not a dry eye during the church ceremony when they renewed their vows. Afterward, we had a mouth-watering, fabulous, catered dinner from the Anaheim White House. It was a beautiful day/evening all around.

(The only downer was that we had to leave the following morning. I wish we could have stayed longer back home on the west coast, but our jobs were calling us back east.)

(Real) Life Moves Fast Posted at 09:15 EST
My younger daughter has finished high school (YEAH!) and our family has already begun to gather here in NC from across the country for her graduation ceremony next Thursday. Needless to say, I'm going to be even more scarce over the next two weeks than I have been recently. I've been swept up even more in the tidal wave we call (real) life!

More Bad Luck Posted at 21:00 EST
Earlier this evening, I was in a pretty bad, frightening car accident. Luckily, we all walked away unharmed but for soft tissue/muscular injuries. We were hit by a young kid driving towards us around a bend in the road WAY too fast. His car hit the curb, he lost control, and slammed into us; the front of his car hitting the left back half of ours, just missing the driver's door. (He left 100 ft. of sideways skidmarks on the road...forgot what the term was that the officer used.) My husband was driving, with me in the front passenger seat and my daughters were in the back seat. My older daughter was right where the car was hit. She only has a bruised elbow, thank God. My younger daughter had to have the seatbelt cut in order for her to get out.

The car stands a good chance of being totalled. The roll bars came up (due to the car being tilted almost into a roll - it is/was a convertible), the left side of the vehicle is destoyed, the back right tire came off and the axel was left sticking out. The frame is most likely bent...will be surprised if it isn't. (That is how hard we were hit.) The interior of the car however, was in tact. All I have to say is THANK YOU, BMW, for making extemely well built, very safe vehicles!! It saved our lives this evening.
