If I can keep a journal of my stumbling and bumbling maybe this will lead to a better community. At worst case it might be fun to see the progress of a new resident

touched Posted at 20:00 EST
This placed is alive. As I found death. It touched me. I once heard a limerick about a person that wanted to ask a wise man why did death touch her home. The wise man said to visit all the homes in the city and see if death has ever touched them then you will understand.

Being fashonably late does not make for good freindships. it is funny though as I missed the event of the season i bet the chat went very fast during the violence. Meanwhile I sent a poem into the chat about 1 hour after the event and the funniest message came back... something like I wonder how long he prepared and then missed the event! as the say in Gaul "Sie la vie"

fait accompli Posted at 10:00 EST
I have published my poem and think that due to an extension 'till March 10th I made the deadline. I think the response has been poor for this event so I might be the defacto winner... it really does not matter. What matters is that my avatar is growing the the possibilities are beginning to gel.
Keep smiling

Many thanks to Aphrodite Theocritos for getting me on the right path.

first entry - a few first days Posted at 09:00 EST
I stumbled upon ancient sites via google while researching one of my favorite subjects. Classical Greece. I cant remember the lookup and have a tried a few times since I keep loosing the site to find it via google with limited results... but I do end up coming back somehow.
The site is vast and textual making it difficult to understand. I see messages everywhere and hyperlinks galore no clear path to start here and keep going. I need a user manual to fully understand this.. or just some time to stumble and explore which is also kind of fun.. and frustrating.
I stumbled upn the quill and parchment contest and actually sat and wrote a poem... first in years then to post it was an impossible feat... only learning that you must be a member to post.. and more importantly you must join as a reveiwer before you can be elevated to a writer... I guess freedom of speech has not been created yet after all it is still the year 400 BC or some such for me... however I dont like using the BC when inside the time line... this is my first research... I want my date of being to be something related to where and when I am.

Then I just happen to ask a friend. But I took a leap and made them a freind not knowing if they want to be a freind but they did want to be a firend and so there is freindship in acient times. Or a least lost of circular logic and stumbling.

I want to thank my friend for showing me the way and offering more support as needed.

this is much for now...

... hummm what is a journal level? 0-7 I guess I will just pick and stumble some more.
