Here are the pictures of the new love of our lives. My daughter is enthralled with her baby brother and often says to me, "Ahhh, he's so cute! And I'm not even jealous!" LOL

"Hooping Cough"

I kept my daughter home from school today because I was up with her all last night. She had a stuffy nose and a little cough. I had received notice from school that Whooping Cough is going around, so I thought I'd err on the side of caution and keep her home today.
Tonight, she was helping me put away dishes (she loves to help, I am so blessed!) and sneezed. She said, "What's up with this? Now I'm sneezing! Darn this Hooping Cough!"

Today, my daughter wanted to view the "This Land" video again. We hadn't seen it in a while and so I went to the site. She giggled and I warned her not to say the naughty words and then that was that. Later today, she asked me, "Mama, who are you going to vote for? The Purple Heart guy or the one who isn't the Purple Heart guy?" I said, "The non-purple heart guy." she said, "Yeah, me too." LOL |

My daughter was up at the kitchen counter getting a marker out of the cabinet. "What are you doing, baby?" I asked. "I'm finishing my picture." she answered. "But, I told you to pick up your things in the kitchen." I reminded her. She made a disgusted sound and said, "Mommy, I can't do anything at the same time!" LOL Kids! |

Smooching...ick!

I dropped my husband off at work the other day and got out of the pickup to talk to him. I gave him a kiss and then went back to the pickup. As I was shutting the door, the little imp in the back pipes up, "I saw you and Dada smooching! Ick! Why do you have to do that?!"
I explained that we did that because we love each other. She still said it was gross though. LOL Kids! |

Today my daughter and I went to the store. She wasn't feeling too well, so I decided a treat was in order for her because she was behaving very well even though she didn't feel good. I bought her a pop (soda for those of you in other States/Countries). We don't often give her any to drink, so it is a treat for her when we do. We always buy her either Sprite or 7-up, something without caffeine. Anyway, she was telling me while in between sips of her pop, "My pop has vitamins in it and yours doesn't." I said, "Oh? How do you know that? Who told you?" and she replied, "No one did. I just have a special kind of brain." I chuckled and said, "Yes, you do!" |
