GF events I've played in Posted at 04:00 EST
From Meso, Germania & now Americas. Great events in every world I've visited. My favorites for each.. hmm. Meso would have to be Inanna's Descent. Just a really fun event with a weird sort of Indiana Jones theme behind it. Well, a clumsy hungover Indiana Jones LOL There quiz though, wow. um. yeah WOW did I suck at that.
Dunking Romans was such a brilliant idea though. There should be more cross world interaction like that. Every time i see it here, I see people having alot of fun with it.

I had a WILD time in Germania

Germania's Hollywood monster quiz was hilarious AND easy (well easy for me anyway) I love horror movies! Their Wild Hunt crossword puzzle was fun too (and not so easy). I googled with Tommy's help and we still only got half right. *L* I didn't get the time to do any hunts in any of the worlds though that was what I was looking forward to the most (i like treasure hunts alot). *sigh* What can you do.

The Devil Wears a Kimono

Goldfest Fun Posted at 12:00 EST
Having a ball so far. BOY OH BOY am I glad Roman GF day was first! Cause it's done. LOL Know what's weird? That was my last goldfest as a scribe, last festival in fact... ever! My only regrets are that I didn't manage to do more this year in site, and the loss of that edit button. Laurels LOVES the edit button, and I mean loves. Meanwhile, in Egypt...

Hilarity awarded me the first SMILE Posted at 15:00 EST

Just a really nice thing to do, brightened up my whole day. Such a hairy difficult week, but I signed on today to find I'd been awarded her first SMILE award.

Very kind of her! Read more about her smile award here: Hilarity's journal

She gives one out every month, so we'll see who the next one is.

Wow, it's already been a year? Posted at 21:00 EST
I found and joined AW one year ago yesterday. Of course, then I went home to pick up the cats, war started and I couldn't come home for months. I didn't actually get active until about July, thanks to Vicky and Vort who was a scribe at the time and could spam gram me. It's been a fun year even if it's really only been 7 months!

ARACHNOPHOBE CURE FOUND!
SPIDERS EVERYWHERE RUSH TO GERMANIA'S OCTOBERFEST TO CELEBRATE

The election has ended, and the rebirth of Arachne begun! New group enthusiasm and activity are already underway. The election results can be found here, with much thanks to Maximius Flavius, one of our Roman Scribes, for interpreting and tallying the votes for us.

New boards and topics already created are:

  • Security Section - headed by our newly elected Security Guru Toman Thutmose
  • A new Competition Centre for all the competitions that Arachne will soon hold - headed by our newly elected Weaver Hapshetsut Nebet
  • The Virtual Eye Candy board is undergoing a complete overhaul from it's new Graphics Guru Editor Demitria and will soon be filled with great topics like Fonts, Graphic Arts Software and more.
  • Our new Arachne Projects Arena, where all our future and current projects will be worked on.
  • The Arachne Academy, Our new Tutorials Headquarters which within the week will have their own accompanying Classrooms.
  • Our new PSP Guru Talaitha Domitius has already started work on creating tutorials for placement within the new Academy thread PSP Tutorials.
  • and even a thread for Graphic Requests, where all of AW can stop in and drop off their requests for Group, Family or personal graphics.

In other Arachne-fied news, we've had some long lost Arachnids find their way home in the form of Tiberius Aelius and Belay Fabius himself (also one of our newly elected Weavers), Bithiah Nebet is so excited to see the new Academy, she is planning to give up sleeping to participate in Belay's Tutorials! And Neima Nebet has become our Official Arachne Cheerleader, while Julilla Sempronius offered her Divine Assistance to Arachne as our new Patron Goddess of Spiders.

SpideyParty.gif Arachnids are thrilled with the new ideas, boards, competitions and election results, and have started celebrating in grand style! Join us in the CoffeeHouse for cups of spiked java and congratulate our new Editors, Weavers and Patron Goddess! And we have Diantha Livius to thank for the spiked java, she insisted and as Rome's newest Scribe we had no choice!

Just listen to some of the great praise Arachne has gotten!

"Arachne's Web is, at long last, once again weaving her webbie wonders!" - our very own Weaver, AzureEyes Ramesses

"WOW! The plans are looking good!" - Louisa Agis

"Arachne's Web-Better Than Butter!" - Oset Ramesses/aka Fabio!

"Where's our FAQ!" -official Arachne Ogre Jojo Nebuchadnezzar, wait! that's not right..

"Congratulations to the new Arachne team, we all learn a lot with such a bunch around." - Julia Manach

"Laurels needs serious help for her rubber ducky addiction... but the rest of Arachne is doing fantastic! I am really happy for this group." - Vortigern Aediu

So why not come on in and add your voice to the fray. Check out our new areas, and join us in learning, graphics creation, securing your PC's from virus and just general CoffeeHouse fun!
