The Delphine has set sail to find the 'Springs of Daphne'
After the Daphne wine festival in Athens we set sail for the beautiful city of Antioch on the Orantes. Here there is a sacred grove and the Sanctuary of Apollo. Here is the miraculous waters of the 'Springs of Daphne'. It is here that seekers now find their miracle cures.
THE DELIAN REGATTA
In the spring the sailing season begins. Ships of all kinds are sailing from Piraeus to the Sacred Island of Delos. THE DELIA FESTIVAL has begun Create your own ship and set sail with us from the Port of Piraeus on April 15th - May 15th and celebrate the Delia on the sacred Island of Delos.
Come with me as we sail into...~DELIAN~DREAMS~
Ancient Trireme In the late autum, the sailing season is drawing to a close. Flocks of birds fly restlessly over the sea. The water changes it's colors. Still the sun scorches mercilessly. The firmanent dazzels the eyes. The wind does not appear.
Come Sail with me back to Ancient Delos, the spiritual heart of the Cyclades!

The Sacred Way The Eleusisinian Fields and Dreams
Map and Events of the Boedromion Festival
Once a year in the month of Boedromion (September 15/October 15), a great procession walked from Athens to Eleusis for the initiation ceremonies. On the 14th of the month the sacred utensils were brought to the Eleusisium at Athens and the chief priest, the heriophant, announced the start of the mysteries, warning the impure, murderers and those who could not understand to keep away from the ceremonies. All Greeks were eligible for initiation, including women, slaves, children and foreigners.

Delian Dreamer When was the last time my dreams took me on a journey to the island,
it was in the spring. We had gone there in April and it was still cool, but had returned to the city for friends were comeing to visit and we went to meet them.
They returned with us to our island then went on to theirs.
~*~
"The earth, we begin to remember, is also a living body with a soul, and it is at sacred sites like Delos, the hub of the Cyclades, that her energies gather. Strung along ley lines, the earth's energy meridians Delos is linked to Palestine in the east and Stonehenge in the west these places of pilgrimage are magnets and transformers: those who are drawn to them find mystical experiences, life-changing insights, portentous dreams. 'Delos' means 'the revealed' (it's the root in 'psychedelic'), and the island's ground is 'permeated with dreams'."

Your Birthdate: June 11 |
|
Your birth on the 11th day of the month makes you something of a dreamer and an idealist.
You work well with people because you know how to use persuasion rather than force.
There is a strong spiritual side to your nature, and you may have intuitive qualities inherent in your make up, too.
You are very aware and sensitive, though often temperamental.
Although you have a good mind and you are very analytical, you may not be comfortable in the business world.
You are definitely creative and this influence tends to make you more of a dreamer than a doer. |

Where have the flowers gone?

Right now the spring flowers in my part of the country are burried under at least 4 feet of snow. It is not uncommon to experience 4 snows in April here, but a white out of a blizzard is extraordinary. When I returned home this afternoon, after driving 80 miles west for a vist with family and friends, I had to shovel out befor I could park the car in the garage. Only a week ago it seemed that spring had really come. It is more than late this year. At least now I have an excuse to avoid all of that heavy duty spring clean up yard work. I can put it of a while longer and not have to suffer guilt. It really looks like a Xmas card today. April fool, no spring flowers come from heavy snow showers. Is this evidence of global warming? Not quit yet I think. Asclepion Garden
The Asclepion Garden
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing...
Where have the flowers gone, long time ago
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girl's picked them everyone.
When will they ever learn...
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone,
long time passing...
Where have all the young girls gone
long time ago?
Where have all the young girls gone,
Young men picked them everyone.
When will they ever learn...
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the young men gone...
Long time passing,
Where have all the young men gone...
long time ago?
Where have all the young men gone...
Gone to graveyards everyone.
When will they ever learn... When will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone,
Long time passing...
Where have all the graveyards gone,
Long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Gone to flowers every one.
When will they ever learn...
When will they ever learn?

Happy New Year

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.
