Guys Do It All The Time Posted at 21:00 EST
by Mindy McCready

Got in this morning at 4 AM
Your as mad as you can be
Well I was drinking and talking
And you know how that goes
Time just slipped away from me
By the time I knew what time it was
It was to late to call home
Stop carrying on and acting like a child
I wasn't doing anything wrong

Guys do it all the time
And you expect us to understand
When the shoe's on the other foot
You know that's when it hits the fan
Get over it honey life's a two way street
Or you won't be a man of mine
So I had some beers with the girls last night
Guys do it all the time

I know I left my clothes all over the place
And I took your twenty bucks
No I didn't get the front yard cut
Cause I had to wash my truck
Will you bring me a cold one baby
Turn on the TV
We'll talk about this later
There's a ballgame I wanna see

Guys do it all the time
And you expect us to understand
When the shoe's on the other foot
You know that's when it hits the fan
Get over it honey life's a two way street
Or you won't be a man of mine
So I had some beers with the girls last night
Guys do it all the time

You look like you just took
A long look in the mirror
Tell me baby if things don't look
A whole lot clearer, ooh

Get over it honey life's a two way street
Or you won't be a man of mine
So I had some beers with the girls last night
Guys do it all the time
Yeah guys do it
Yeah guys do it
All the time, all the time
Yeah guys do it
Yeah guys do it
All the time

I Can't Pretend Posted at 21:00 EST
Lyrics by Charles Tobias / Paul Rusincky (W. Edward Breuder?)

I can't pretend
I'm sorry we're apart
I can't pretend
I just can't fool my heart
Though I make fine
My friends all seem to realize
Their smiles, that look in my eye
I can't pretend
I simply can't be gayer
For in the end
My tears give me away
Without you dear
I live a lie
I can't defend
I love you
And I can't pretend

Help Sombody Posted at 21:00 EST
Lyrics by Van Zant

Well grandaddy was a hillbilly scholar, blue collar of a man... He came from the school of "you don't need nothin' if you can't make it with your own two hands" He was backwoods, backwards, used words like: no sir, yes ma'am, by god, I'll be darned, hell yeah I'm American.. and all the years he walked this earth I swear all he did was work. He said the devil dreams on an idle horse so you listen to me squirt..

Don't get too high on a bottle, and get right with a man. Fight your fights, find your grace and all the things you two can't change, and help somebody if you can

Now Granny said sonny stick to your gun if you believe in something no matter what cause it's better to be hated for who you are Than loved for someone you're not. She was 5 feet of concrete New York born and raised on a slick city street. She'll stare you down, stand her ground, still kickin' and screamin' at 93. I remember how frail she looked in that hospital bed taking her last few breaths of life and smiling as she said

Don't get too high on a bottle, just a little syrup now and then, fight your fights, find your grace, and all the things you two can't change and help somebody if you can, and get right with a man

I never let a cowboy make the coffee yeah thats what Granny always said to my Grandad and he'd say never tell a joke that ain't that funny more than once and if you wanna hear God laugh, tell Him your plans

Don't get too high on a bottle, get right with a man, son. fight your fights, find your grace, and all the things you two can't change and help somebody if you can and get right with a man

and get right with a man

Something To Be Proud Of Posted at 23:00 EST
Lyrics by Montgomery Gentry

There's a story that my daddy tells religiously
Like clockwork every time he sees an opening
In a conversation about the way things used to be
Well I'd just roll my eyes and make a bee-line for the door
But I'd always wind up starry-eyed, cross-legged on the floor
Hanging on to every word
Man, the things I heard

It was harder times and longer days
Five miles to school, uphill both ways
We were cane switch raised, and dirt floor poor
'Course that was back before the war
Yeah, your uncle and I made quite a pair
Flying F-15's through hostile air
He went down but they missed me by a hair
He'd always stop right there and say...

That's something to be proud of
That's a life you can hang your hat on
That's a chin held high as the tears fall down
A gut sucked in, a chest stuck out
Like a small town flag a-flyin'
Or a newborn baby cryin'
In the arms of the woman that you love
That's something to be proud of

So I'm graduatin' college, that was mama's dream
But I was on my way to anywhere else when I turned 18
Cuz when you gotta fast car you think you've got everything
I learned quick those GTO's don't run on faith
I ended up broken down in some town north of L.A.
Working maximum hours for minimum wage
Well, I fell in love, next thing I know
The babies came, the car got slow
I sure do miss that old hot rod
But you sure save gas in them foreign jobs
Dad, I wonder if I ever let you down
If you're ashamed how I turned out
Well, he lowered his voice, then he raised his brow
Said, lemme tell ya right now

That's something to be proud of
That's a life you can hang your hat on
You don't need to make a million
Just be thankful to be workin'
If you're doing what you're able
And putting food there on the table
And providing for the family that you love
That's something to be proud of

And if all you ever really do is the best you can
Well, you did it man

That's something to be proud of
That's a life you can hang your hat on
That's a chin held high as the tears fall down
A gut sucked in, a chest stuck out
Like a small town flag a-flyin'
Or a newborn baby cryin'
In the arms of the woman that you love
That's something to be proud of
That's something to be proud of
Yeah, that's something to be proud of
That's something to be proud of
Now that's something to be proud of
Stupid Girls Posted at 23:00 EST
Lyrics by Pink
Stupid girl, stupid girls, stupid girls
Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
Po*no Paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl

Go to Fred Segal, you'll find them there
Laughing loud so all the little people stare
Looking for a daddy to pay for the champagne
(Drop a name)
What happened to the dreams of a girl president
She's dancing in the video next to 50 Cent
They travel in packs of two or three
With their itsy bitsy doggies and their teeny-weeny tees
Where, oh where, have the smart people gone?
Oh where, oh where could they be?

Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
P-rno Paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl

(Break it down now)
Disease's growing, it's epidemic
I'm scared that there ain't a cure
The world believes it and I'm going crazy
I cannot take any more
I'm so glad that I'll never fit in
That will never be me
Outcasts and girls with ambition
That's what I wanna see
Disasters all around
World despaired
Their only concern
Will they ***k up my hair

Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
Por!o Paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl

[Interlude]
Oh my god you guys, I totally had more than 300 calories
That was so not sexy, no
Good one, can I borrow that?
[Vomits]
I WILL BE SKINNY

(Do ya thing, do ya thing, do ya thing)
(I like this, like this, like this)
Pretty will you **** me girl, silly as a lucky girl
Pull my head and #$%k it girl, stupid girl!
Pretty would you **** me girl, silly as a lucky girl
Pull my head and #*(k it girl, stupid girl!

Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that, stupid girl!

Maybe if I act like that, that guy will call me back
Por%o Paparazzi girl, I don't wanna be a stupid girl
Baby if I act like that, flipping my blond hair back
Push up my bra like that, I don't wanna be a stupid girl

Someday Posted at 14:00 EST
lyrics by Eternal

Someday
When we are wiser
When the world's older
When we have learned
I pray
Someday we may yet live
To live and let live
Someday
Life will be fairer
Need will be rarer
And greed will not pay
God speed
This bright millennium
On its way
Let it come
Someday

Someday
Our fight will be won then
We'll stand in the sun then
That bright afternoon
'Till then
On days when the sun is gone
We'll hang on
If we wish upon the moon

There are some days dark and bitter
Seems we haven't got a prayer
But a prayer for something better
Is the one thing we all share

Someday
When we are wiser
When the whole world is older
When we have learned
I pray
Someday we may yet live
To live and let live
One day, someday
Someday
Life will be fairer
Need will be rarer
Greed will not pay
God speed
This bright millennium
Let it come
If we wish upon the moon
One day
Someday
Soon

One day
Someday
Soon

Nobody gonna tell me what to do Posted at 21:00 EST
Artist : Van Zant

Shoulda seen the look on the face of the boss of the second shift,
When I threw my hard hat at him,
An' suggested the box where he could stick it.
I walked downstairs an told 'em I was leavin' Bethlehem,
Like I'd seen the Saviour, had tears in my eyes,
Holdin' my hands up an' shoutin': "Amen."

'Cause there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.
I spent most of my life a-wrapped up tight,
In somebody else's hand-me-down old shoes.
Startin' today, I'm someone I'd be proud to know:
You might tell me where to go,
But there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

We buried Daddy just like week at the church to save his soul.
Man, he dreamed of pilot's wings:
Spent his whole life diggin' coal.
I got a guitar under my bed, but I've been too scared to fly.
But that's enough of that stuff, I'm packin' up my truck:
They can just kiss my butt goodbye.

Instrumental Break.

'Cause there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.
(Ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.)
I spent most of my life wrapped up tight,
In somebody else's hand-me-down old shoes.
Startin' today, I'm someone I'd be proud to know:
You might tell me where to go,
But there ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do.

Kerosene Posted at 21:00 EST
Artist/Band: Lambert Miranda

I’m waitin’ on the sun to set cause yesterday aint over yet
I started smoking cigaretts there’s nothing else to do I guess
Dusty roads aint made for walking, spinning tires aint made for stoppin’
I’m giving up on love cause love’s given up on me

I gave it everything I had and everything I got was bad
Life aint hard but it’s too long to live it like some country song
Trade the truth in for a lie, cheating really aint a crime
I’m giving up on love cause love’s given up on me

Forget you high society, I’m soakin’ it in Kereosne
Light ‘em up and watch them burn, teach them what they need to learn HA!
Dirty hands aint made for shakin’, aint a rule that aint worth breakin’
Well I’m giving up on love cause love’s given up on me

Now I don’t hate the one who left You
He’s out there holding on to someone, I’m holding up my smoking gun
I’ll find somewhere to lay my blame the day she changes her last name
Well I’m giving up on love cause love’s given up on me
Well I’m giving up on love HEY love’s given up on me

Kate's ditty Posted at 09:00 EST
"Said this and that and ye of yer importance
and all that gather here can testify
that anyone can insult me person
but none of ye would pass up me brand of rye.

I've taken abuse from every chieftain and laddie
forgiven a Niafer curr that blacked me eye
never once have I refused ta give great kindness
though hot tempered enough ta make a warrior cry.

Me kiss is said is fire from Brigit's hearth, dear
me looks are sure ta make the old man grin
and even Cathal, that great lout, will attest that
I've never made him drink tonic and gin.

Me brothers six, they often think me shealtered
and keep me free from every manly game
but I tell ye once, and twice and then again, love
insult me beer and ye'll na doubt me aim.

Ta me family it is said that I am ta loyal
and refuse ta give away me girlish.. heart
but if ye look around the inn at the laddies
ye could understand why I do na wish ta part.

Now it has been said that I'm a little tart, love
and often that me voice is spoken shrill
once I heard a man swear I could outcry a banshee
but damned if he wasn't first in line for his refill!

I can na say that I have been a darling
nor would I lie ta say without compare
I've used me charms ta keep me out of marriage
but thats all the rage at the Love Affair!

Some others say I have na head fer business
and have let a kiss here or there ta pay the rent
sure, I've given scribes lifetime drinking
yet none has came ta ask that I repent."

blanket covered field
mirror etched sky
stolen breath
aching chest
fire light gone

empty doorway morns
peace on horizon
barren tables
empty pub
friends wonder on

sheep being bleating
Brigit brings dawn
life returns
barley flows
bright arrow inspired
