reflections on the Goddess in ALL Her forms

Rhiannon Posted at 18:00 EST
I named one of the crochet tarot deck bags I've been crafting for my business, Celestial Realms, after the goddess Rhiannon. Instead of focusing on any correspondence with horses, I chose a bird (it just "fit"!). Magical, healing, singing sweetly always. Bestowing the natural beauty of natural peace.

the need for balance Posted at 11:00 EST
The history of humanity has been affected by masculine energy in many ways. From the time that the influence of the Goddess was relegated to a greatly lessened level masculine energy for the most part has been the directing energy of civilizations. Outwardly focused, aggressive, ever active without surcease, bold, driven--this is what the world has been subject to for thousands of years.
There is no balance with the energies of the feminine. Without this balance the entire world suffers. Witness: wars, homelessness, poverty, starvation, loss of human rights, violence towards women and children, ecologies negatively impacted, education stagnant, greed, consumerism, reckless use of technology, rampant apathy, religious persecution and intolerance.
Masculine energy gone to the extreme, over the edge, untamed and out of control.
Healing can begin with reintegrating feminine energy into humanity's mode of being, working to bring balance to a world which needs it so desperately. Already the movement in this direction has begun to grow and expand. Goddess spirituality, compassion, tolerance, non-violence, cooperation, kindness--these qualities of feminine energy in holistic, loving partnership with controlled and wise masculine energy will serve to change the world for the better.

Binah Posted at 12:00 EST

Binah is the third sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, the Ultimate and most Sublime Feminine Mother, the Void, the voice of Silence, Marah-the Great Sea, Ama-the dark sterile mother, Aima-the bright fertile mother, Khorsia-the Throne, all forms and faces of the Goddess.

Binah's imprint is in all Form -- even unto subsuming Herself -- this is an act of utmost and deepest Motherhood. Not a negative one. The Mother takes all joy in giving all of Herself. Knowing that the Form will return unto Her. The Queen becomes the Princess who then becomes the Queen. There is no competition or conflict in this cycle. A severe necessity that the female recognizes easily and without regret. Form must change, grow, transform -- to make new forms. The Queen must relinquish her throne so her Daughter can ascend to it.

Binah doesn't create Form in a Void. She pulls what she needs from Kether and Chokmah and the other Sephiroth (a two-way flow). She sees and Understands how things should be and manifests them down the Tree.

In taking on Form she accepts all the consequences and ramifications. And so she sorrows because all Form must end. And she rejoices because she can renew the Forms once more.

She works in total harmony with her Beloved Consort, Chokmah, in all she does. Ever wise He is to feel all her joys and sorrows -- he meets them with Wisdom, Loving Kindness and Victorious Emotions. What Binah creates, Chokmah feels deeply. What Binah creates, Chokmah knows intrinsically. What Binah creates, Chokmah loves wholly.

And all their Angels work in harmony with their intertwined Cosmic Dance, weaving their tapestry, directed by Divine Guidance, unto the physical realm. Then they absorb it all in the Light of Kether and create anew. So, the cycles ever go on and on and Life is Eternal.

Tis a thing of Beauty and Terrible Power. Tis a thing of Joy and one of Sorrow. Tis the Dawn and the Sunset. Tis the Sun and the Moon. Tis Man and Woman. Tis all Duality and all Wholeness.

concept words for Binah:
severity, strictness, containment, creation without chaos, creation under law, fertility, absorption, birth, re-birth, love of the Primal Mother, bonding of the feminine with the masculine, the heights, the depths
