The Nike of Samothrace is a victory. She serves as a charm in periods of war or civil unrest. She is presently visiting Paris, France, same as many other Greek works today. This fact rouses debate about where an artwork should reside. Is it fair for works from Greece to find themselves in Northern European museums?
