The Domus of Tacronicus Cornelius -- [Entrance ] [Courtyard ] [Library ] [Study ]
vercingetorix.jpg My Library is for my historical and academic pursuits. Here you will find the books I have written as well as the books I have acquired for my collection from other citizens. Please feel free to browse! Here you will also find a collection of post that I have made to historical and academic boards. My particular historical interests in Ancient Rome are of Things Military (with apologies to Flavius Vegetius), and musings on the fate of the Roman Republic.

Just now I've located a scroll penned by Pliny the Younger describing Pliny the Elder's encounter with the disasterous events surrounding the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius.

Most of us think of Pliny as a great naturalist and scientist...he did, of course, write the first encyclopaedia in the history of Mankind! What you may not know about him was that he was also the Commander of the Roman Fleet. Interested..? Then, please! Step into my Library.
