I don't make friends easily because I know that I won't let go.
My ex-wife changed friends like changing shoes. That was one thing about her I did not like.
I came to say that you may want to consider carefully before becoming my friend!
I do have friends but few RL and many more in Cyberland. My AS friends are dear and near. I have spoken and/or visited with most. I can only offer them my honesty and my life.
My other friends are those that I admire............
ONE-BY-ONE
Banned together forever by the known deeds they had done
One by one they joined. They came willingly, one by one.
Dressed in every shade, styles of yor and now they came
different people and different reasons even some the same.
From Gaul to China to Hamilton where ever there shone a sun,
each joining as the need arose but always one by one.
all that was in common the end result some call it fame
doesn't really matter, none rose just to make a name.
From East and West, North and South covering the entire globe
every walk and age of life, even one who slept by a stove.
They came and joined and sacraficed and when it was done,
From every corner of the earth they came, one by one.
These are the ones I think dearly of, the heros of my life
the ones that gave theirs and proved me not alone in strife
They are the ones that have guided me, equaled only by none
Sometimes paired but always they came, gathering one by one.
These are my heros; JFK, Joan of Arc, Cochise, Samson, Jody Foster, Alexander Hamilton, Auduy Murphy, Bill Pickett, Emily Dickenson, Martin Luther King, Charles DeGaule, Kelly, Drew, Jim Thorpe, Mohammad Ali, Jesse Owens, Albert Einstien, Celine Dion, Zeus, Helen of Troy, and my Dad.
So you see, if you choose to become my friend, you just might be stuck with me.
So that being settled, there are other matters such as opening the "Mint"
Leave me to my thoughts and Rome as you may roam around my domus all day.
Well, Vade in Pace but, be careful, the water is a lot deeper than it looks. I'm just going to check to make sure this gate is secure.
