This is my megaron where the phrarty dine. In the corner is the stone hestia (hearth) with the evidence of my piety indicated by small bits of burnt food and wine stains. Next to the hestia is a basket of charcoal. There are eating couches arranged around the mosaic floor with a table in the center to hold the food. Scenes painted on the walls show the stages of wine making.
"Yet nevertheless even in adversity nobility shines through when a man endures repeated and severe misfortunes with patience, not owing to insensibility but from generosity and greatness of soul." Aristotle
