Welcome to the Symbosion

Here in the Symbosion you will find the results of my play activities! My trivia scores, organized role-play status and other game statistics are recorded here. Also, here you may find artifacts and other items I have been collecting and making through my game playing activities. Finally, you can see an index to all my posts to role-playing boards.

The Symbosion

The symbosion is the entertainment of the evening.

As the host I pour three glasses of wine as an offer to the Olympic gods, the heroes and Zeuz.

We drink and eat, sing and solve riddles, discuss the problems of Athens, the chances of war, the human life and the whims of the gods.

We discuss and read political science, law documents and love stories.

Especially, we discuss and read Homer, Hesiod and Pindaros.

Next week we look forward reading the poetry of Sappho.

When the symbosion is over, we offer a glass of wine to Hermes, the messenger of the gods, the watcher of travellers.

At cockcrow in the morning we are back in the busy agora.

Here you will read some of my poems which are dedicated to the importance of salt.

Only brief sayings of Agorastes have survived, such as "My friends are always thirsty when I'm talking about the importance of salt."
