We all know and love king Hammurabi. He was the tough guy, the kind of guy who made your parents seem easy-going. This guy lived from around 1728 BC to 1686 and owned quite a massive chunk of Mesopotamia. But who cares about that? This is the guy who coined the idea of an eye for an eye. (Above Hammurabi graphic is from the game Civilization and I nabbed it from Civilization Fanatics Center.)
Law of the Day
Law #37: If any one buy the field, garden, and house of a chieftain, man, or one subject to quit-rent, his contract tablet of sale shall be broken (declared invalid) and he loses his money. The field, garden, and house return to their owners.
