Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire
From the "Crisis of the Third Century" until the deposition of the last Western Empire in 476, Rome's last two centuries were filled with struggle.
Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire is an academic group dedicated to historical discussion on the fall of the Roman Empire, and the lives of those Romans and barbarians who made the history what it was. There are several great epics in this final phase of Roman history worth exploring in detail for they reveal many aspects of our own history and of the societies which played a part. The Empire's fall laid the groundwork for the future nations of Europe and can be considered the last epic of classical history before the Dark Ages and beyond.
