Not much is known of Anedjib, he is believed to have reigned for a long period as there are mentionings of a heb-sed festival on two stone vessel fragments from his time. He seems to have come from the Abydos area of This and many stone vessels were inscribed with his name though it was erased by his successor Semerkhet.
Anedjib´s tomb at Abydos was a relatively small one, the burial chamber constructed all from wood, as were those of his over sixty servants which followed him into the afterlife.
