FIVE ALIVE: The Goldfest '07 Special Edition

Salve Amici,

It's hard to believe that we are going into the 5th year of Ancient Worlds going gold, and it is still going strong. I remember the launch of the Golden Phoenix like it was yesterday. A young Celt, with dew in his eyes, found a home he was looking for since his old home, Ancient Sites, went down. Little did he know while lurking around this new place, that this new home was going to take up most of his time for the next five years.

One of my fondest memories among many, was during my Scribal interview with Cornellia. It went something like this.


Cornellia: "Vort, where do you see yourself in five years?"

Vort: "Celebrating the fifth year anniversary of you asking me this question!"

A lot has happened in those five years, including a few other Goldfests, some other festivals, and while people have gone and come back, the Acta has always managed to stay going strong this entire time. Although I had only been co-editor of the Acta with Hapshetsut Nebet and Julilla Sempronius for a short time, I have long-lasting memories of the newsletter as a source for what's happening around the site.

So let us all celebrate the fifth year anniversary of her asking me that question together, with the fifth annual Goldfest Acta Diurna.
