Coming in March!

topi
To celebrate the coming of the spring, we have decided to have a couple of days of fun in March, 5-7. As part of it, we're having a photo matching game. Photos of AWers will be posted with clues, and then we have to try and guess who's who. If you have ideas for more events or want to "reveal" yourself in photoform, contact the Americas scribes...

Do you feel a creative itch? If so, why not create a plaque for your favorite district? You can see an excellent example by Acolnahuacatzin ShieldJaguar on the left. If/when you got a plaque ready, please post it at the Americas Neighborhood Project-thread, and the scribes will add it to the appropriate district-page.

The La Venta district in the Highlands of Meso America has recently opened for settlement. Most ably built by Acolnahuacatzin ShieldJaguar, La Venta is an Olmec site and already boasts two residents!

There are lots of people building homes in the cold far north, in the Land of the Aurora Borealis. If you've a craving a caribou hunt or to want to do some fishing, then this is the neighborhood for you. Do bring a coat though.

But perhaps you're looking for someplace a bit warmer? Then visit the thriving community in Tianguez, located in South America's Antisuyu, a market town associated with Quito, the capital of modern Ecuador.

Old news: Fiesta Chocolate

Our annual Fiesta Chocolate was celebrated again, this time on 22-23 Dec. Menu of events included The Chocolate Tour by Apo Mayta Huacac, Chocolate Roca and Julilla Sempronius, Akatena Sequoyah's Chocolate Quiz II, Aynara Morningstar's Design A Cacao Pod (design by Aelfwine Scylding on the right) and Fortune bonbons and also a breakout in chococolate. Despite [desperate] tauntings made by yours truly, the Horsechicks didn't show up... but still a lot of people showed up at the chocolate high Party at the Blue Macaw, thanks to the great VJ'ing of Mad Jack Pacal. Also, the Fiesta Chocolate had the pleasure to reveal the great new calendars for the New Year, by Chocolate Roca.
