The Fian of the White Stag
The Fian of the White Stag is an organization of like minded individuals who have adopted the Fennidh Path.
The Fian cultivates within it’s members, the attributes of the Irish and Scottish cultural traditions. In addition to this, we seek to develop strength, agility, courage and ability to fight with both ancient and modern weapons, while honoring our heritage which is the customs and traditions of our Irish-Scottish ancestry. We in turn use these attributes in service for the betterment of the society in which we live. Members are initiated into the Fian by ordeal and ritual. Members are set apart from the ordinary person by oath. Members swear to live their daily lives as warriors and not only for the weekends or at specialized events. Truth, Strength and Honor are a part of our daily lives. The torc is worn constantly as a reminder of our oath and to our heritage. We strive for the Fennidh ideal as set forth in the ancient myths. We explore the warrior lore and culture of our ancestors and apply it in our daily lives. We are not a modern paramilitary organization or an organized militia. We honor the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of our state and the laws established by the local governments in which we live. When our nation calls for service, we are first to answer that call honorably. We have sworn an oath to defend it from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. We are not a historical reenactment society. Swords, shields and spears were important tools in the lives of our ancestors and we honor the important place they held in our ancestors lives. We seek to perfect our skills in their use, however, ancient technology will not defend our country and our families in this modern age there fore we also seek to perfect our skills in the weapons of the modern warrior as well. |
