ACTA DIURNA Springfest Special EditionEgyptian World News

Di ankh Re mi djet!
Anubis

It's Time for Springfest again! In fact, it's time to celebrate Ancientworlds' last Springfest. That's right...from now on, we'll be celebrating in the fall, rather than the spring. Remember Goldfest 2005? Germania, Hellas, Mesopotamia, and The Orient entertained us with four days of costume contests, haunted houses, and a wild search for the now infamous Wizard of AwZ. Well, now it's our turn! Rome, Egypt, Celtia, and The Americas have gotten together and will be presenting a four day festival scheduled to run from Thursday, April 20th thru Sunday, April 23rd. Some events will be cooperative efforts put together by participants from all four worlds. Some are two world events, and the rest will be world specific. Egypt will be presenting our events on Friday, April 21st. Check Springfest Central during the festival for starting times and locations.

Bragging Gods

The gods are having a divine pub crawl encompassing all four participating worlds! Several gods from Egypt, Rome, and Celtia, accompanied by some spirited liquors from The Americas, will be touring the pubs of each world in an attempt to determine who has the best intoxicants. At stake: bragging rights on the divine plane.

Dr
But will anyone be sober enough at the end of the crawl to reach a decision? our own Shesmu Ramesses will be there to uphold the honor of Egyptian irp and hqt. This event is interactive, so join in the fun — as human or deity. You're sure to have a ball! Could someone pass me some of those dates?

Wine for Eternity

Hilarity Hatshepsut, with graphics assistance from MerytMaihes Orsakon and the research assistance of a host of people, including Menes Mentuhotep, Marduk Hammurabi, Shesmu Ramesses, Mirjam Nebet, Sementawy Horemheb, and Kaz Matsudaira, has created the Egyptian leg of a two-world Egyptian/Roman wine tour. Come join us, as a mysterious time-traveler known as Professor Scriptor takes a group of visiting Romans and their Egyptian hosts on a wild journey down the Nile and up the boot (of Italy, that is). This event is interactive, so come join the members of WASTED as they learn about ancient beer and wine.

Rock Art Tour

Nekhenyheru Aha has partnered with Fedelm Cruithni, Mangas Cochise, and Laurels Curius to present a tour of the Rock Art from each of our participating worlds.

Dining in Kemet

Onions Hatshepsut, Hapshetsut Nebet, MerytMaihes Orsakon, and Sementawy Horemheb will be presenting a Food Quiz and an accompanying offsite webpage entitled Dining in Kemet. Both entries deal with authentic Egyptian food.

Trading Pyramids

Ever seen Trading Spaces or the British original Changing Rooms? Well, that's the idea here. The Americas and Egypt will be trading pyramids. We'll decorate one of theirs and they'll decorate one of ours. Join Asenath Amenhotep, Topiltzin Tupac, Onions Hatshepsut, Mangas Cochise, and their pyramid building teams for this two-world event starting Thursday, April 20th.
