Groups in the Spotlight

KMT
What does Ramesses II and caravan raiders have in common? A story, that's what! In KMT's premier role play the Golden Horus, caravan raiders have attacked a royal party. Promising to raise the wrath of Ramesses II when his beloved Nefertari is threatened, the story will drive into court intrigue, greed and power. What will happen next? Only time knows and Horus is always looking for new players and characters to fill their ranks. If you have any questions on how to get started, just drop KMT's group leader Lotus Horemheb a scroll.

Spring has Sprung and We are Wrung...OUT that is!
Egyptian SF

SpringFest has come and gone in Egypt with mixed feelings. Amidst a flurry of activities, we are literally exhausted from running from world to world enjoying the most excellent activities and events to date! Egypt's celebration highlighted the Grand Egyptian Festival the Beautiful Feast of the Valley celebrated each year at the beginning of the inundation season. In the Procession of Amun, we recreated (sort of!) the parade following the Priests of Amun while they carried the Great Hidden One through the streets of the grand city of Waset and across the Nile in order to commune with the spirits of the gods. Free flowing beer was supplied by the Drunken Hathor Oracle Booth and several contests were held.

Best of Fest, Silver social

Winning second place on the Best of Fest Social Activities category, the Amun's Puzzle Scavenger Hunt kept celebrants hopping, scouring through homes and places in Egypt, looking for those elusive puzzle pieces. My hat goes of to Clodia Cicero and Leela Antonius who found the most puzzle pieces and are now in need of a new pair of reading glasses. Well done ladies!!

Other events included Do it Yourself Pottery, with many thanks to Sesh Ked Hatshepsut for rendering our lovely designs into gorgeous pottery souvenirs (See the Springfest plate above as some of his wonderful work!). Name that Room was another event for contestants to guess the name of each room in a common Egyptian home. Winners with four right guesses each were Feline Thutmose and Caileadair Etana. Another job well done!!

Best of Homes Awarded!!

At the end of SpringFest, Best Homes was awarded to competitors who threw their hats in the ring to be judged by a venerable panel of judges. Winners for Egypt were:

GOLD - Queen Tiy Amenhotep

SILVER - Nefertare Mentuhotep

BRONZE - nilaja Amenhotep

A hearty congratulations ladies!!

Golden Fly

With all major celebrations, there are always people in the wings who helped, but rarely get the kudos they properly deserve. The Order of the Golden Fly was given to those who showed bravery in the face of battle or opposition. To those of you who came through to help Egypt this Spring, I am eternally grateful for your support and friendship and include you in this prestigious group for you have served Egypt well.
