This silver urn contains the remains of the boy king, Alexander IV, the son of Alexander The Great and Roxanne, his wife,both treacherously murdered by the usurper, Kassandros. The boy ws the last of the Temenid kings of Macedon. His death caused the closing of a the most brilliant page of Macedonian history. A little backwater kingdom in the north of Greece had risen within two generations to dominate the known world. Macedonians now sat on all the thrones of Asia Minor. The funeral games of Alexander had only just begun.............
