Anthesteria
Instead of the Dionysia I'd go for the Anthesteria. The Anthesteria (also known as the Ancient Dionysia) was a Festival of Flowers (Anthê) for Dionysos Anthios, the Blooming God. They took place at the end of February (11th, 12th and 13th of the month called Anthesterion).

If you want to know more about it, please let me know.

The full moon after the two full moons of winter?
I just love it when they get all ancient on us like that. Ioannis' wonderful article says, in terms of calculating when to have the festival (note, it's the 11-12-13th day of the month called Anthesterion). The paragraph says:

We have held this festival since before the Greeks sailed to Troy [c. 1200 BCE]; its origin is beyond the limits of memory. The rites occur on the 11th, 12th and 13th - that is, during the full moon - of the month called Anthesterion. Nominally, this is the end of February, but more precisely the full moon following the full moon of the Lênaia, and two moons following the full moon nearest the winter solstice. This is the time when Zeus mated with Semele, who is also Persephone, and Dionysos was conceived. It is also the time when Dionysos took Ariadne to be His wife, and so we celebrate the marriage of the Basilinna (religious Queen {BASI/LINNA}) and the God. (The days are reckoned from sundown to sundown.)

Ran to my handy dandy online Almanac. Here's the chart for the recent dates of the new moons:

ALMANAC

So, by my count, the festival - OR the month - would begin on the second full moon following the full mean nearest the winter solstice, or February 16. But does it start THAT day, or the 11-12-13th of the MONTH of Anthesterion, starting that day?

Hehehehe. Now that we'll are confused, I leave it to Athens.

Anthesteria - I'm game
    From: http://www.cs.utk.edu/~mclennan/BA/JO-Anth.html

The first day of the Anthesteria is called Pithiogia, the Jar-Opening, in which, after a procession of the god's ship-chairot, wine jars that have been buried are opened.

The second day is Khoes, Pitchers. The new wine is brought to the Limnaoin, Dionysus' sanctuary. After a libation, we get to drink. :-) This day is party day. And an interesting drinking contest is held - a silent drinking contest. At a signal, all drink and whoever is first to empty the cup wins...over and over and over.

Third day is Khutroi, or Pots. Drinking continues, in preparation for a "Great Rite," basically a sacred marriage between Dionysus and a priestess. A perfectly acceptable fertility festivity, I might add. :-)

I want to quote from the website for the end of this:

Among the day's amusements are the Contests of the Khutroi (Agônes Khutrinoi), in which the Comoi (Comic Revellers) compete for the honor of performing at the City Dionysia next month, but as the day grows old, we carry the pots and escort the Dead to the Marshes. Glutted with wine, They will return at our bidding to the Underworld. We have honored the Dead and now They can depart.

Which makes perfect sense to me. To sum up - we have three festivities for this site: 1) A procession; 2) A silent contest of some kind; 3) A comic revel.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

The Anthesteria sounds like a very good choice. :-) Hey, she mentioned wine...
