Additions and Deletions to Compleat Britain
We will include a more comprehensive and recent history in Compleat Britain to expand and accomodate the interests of the group. by: Catalina Caesar
Compressing Threads
I am cutting and pasting posts made under some threads that I wish to compress under one comprehensive thread, currently the People and Their Rulers Board... None of Miranda's labors will be lost! ~ Catalina Caesar
New Group Image
We now have a brand new image for the Compleat Britain group, in line with the fact that we are moving our focus to the study of Britain through the ages. Please tell me what you think about it - all comments are welcome! ~ Harald Egilsson
Group image
Nice piece of design, Harald, but could we be told precisely what it is intended to represent? Pectinarius ~ Pectinarius Antonius
Re the image
If it's unclear what the image is supposed to represent, then it's probably a bad design - and me explaining what I think it represents isn't any good, because it should speak for itself. With the new image I wanted to reflect the fact that the group is expanding its focus to look at the entire history of Britain - the former image detailing the tribes of Britain was clearly misleading in the context of this group re-positioning. It may be that the Union Flag represents only the modern history of Britain, and seemingly neglects the earlier periods. Is this the impression people have got? ~ Harald Egilsson
Not to me...
I like the image and I think it does exemplify the expansion of subjects to the group. It is called "Compleat" Britain, *G*. ~ Catalina Caesar |
